Schwinn discusses the anti-commandeering doctrine as it applies to a pair of consolidated cases facing the U.S. Supreme Court involving federal regulation of sports gambling. The anti-commandeering doctrine says that the federal government cannot require states or state officials to adopt or enforce federal law.
